Paul Bloom: The origins of pleasure

This talk explains how most of us are essentialists when it comes to enjoying things simple and luxurious. It does matter that money can buy a lot of things. Because for us humans, money buys so much more than just mere objects. It buys us idealism. It buys us dreams. And when we get really lucky, we can even buy our very own larger than life self esteem. Okay....i'm not saying it's everything....i'm saying that it's an option and for some it is reality. This video helps us understand why we would pay for a bag that is worth as much as a car costs.
